Terms of Service

Last updated: September 6, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Kall It AI, a real-time voice translation platform operated by Kall It AI Ltd ("we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, your business.

1. Who we are

Kall It AI Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17201342, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. You can contact us at legal@kallit.ai.

2. The service

Kall It AI provides real-time, AI-assisted voice translation across up to 90 languages, designed for professional use (for example, by solicitors, police, immigration and visa services, and healthcare providers). Translations are generated using third-party AI services and, like any AI system, may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. Kall It AI is a communication aid and should not be relied upon as the sole record or interpretation of a legally, medically, or otherwise significant conversation.

Kall It AI is for AI-assisted conversations and intake. It is not a qualified or certified interpreter, and what it produces is not an official or certified record. A qualified human interpreter should always be used for a witness statement, a sworn document or a court hearing, and wherever the law, a regulator or your professional rules require one. You are responsible for deciding when the service is appropriate for a particular conversation.

The service can also be started from any phone, without our app or a browser — either by calling from a callback number you've saved in advance, or by dialling in a business PIN, personal PIN, and language code directly. Section 3 (Accounts) covers your responsibility for keeping these PINs secure, the same as any other account credential.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to register a business account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity carried out by staff you invite to your business account. New business accounts are reviewed and approved manually before full access is granted.

The business PIN and each staff member's personal PIN, used to start a session by phone without our app, are for starting a phone translation session only — they do not give access to your account, stored recordings or transcripts, or billing details. They must still be kept secure, because anyone who has them can start a session that's billed to your business and attributed to that staff member, without needing to sign in. They are hidden on the Translation page's Configure tab until you choose to reveal them. If you think a PIN has been compromised, a staff member can regenerate their own personal PIN, and a business admin can regenerate the business PIN, from that tab. A business admin can also require that PIN dial-in works only from phone numbers each person has approved for themselves; if your business does, you must add at least one number on that tab before your PIN will work, and only you can see or change your list. You're responsible for activity carried out using your business's PINs, the same as for any other account credential.

4. Geographic restrictions

Kall It AI relies on third-party AI services to provide translation, and those providers restrict use of their services from certain countries. As a result, we're unable to offer accounts to users located in China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Syria, or Cuba, and we may decline or suspend registrations accordingly. This list may change if our providers' own restrictions change.

5. Your responsibility for the calls you make

You (and your business) are the data controller for the conversations you have with your own clients, patients, or members of the public through Kall It AI — we are a processor acting on your instructions. You are responsible for ensuring you have a proper legal basis and, where required, the informed consent of the other party before recording or translating a call, and for complying with any professional, regulatory, or confidentiality obligations that apply to your organisation (such as legal professional privilege or medical confidentiality). Kall It AI is a tool; how you use it within your profession remains your responsibility.

In practice, this means asking the other party whether it's acceptable to use an interpreter before you start a session — the same responsibility you'd have before booking a human interpreter. If your business has audio or transcript retention switched on, you must separately confirm the other party agrees to the call being recorded before you begin; agreeing to the use of an interpreter is not the same as agreeing to be recorded. Kall It AI's own automatic announcement at the start of each call — disclosing that an AI interpreter is being used, and stating whether the call is recorded, in the other party's own language — is an additional safeguard for them, not a substitute for you asking beforehand.

Kall It AI has no way to know whether that conversation actually happened in any given call, and accepts no responsibility for it. The decision to proceed, and any consequence of proceeding without having actually asked, rests entirely with you as the professional running the session.

6. Pricing and billing

Kall It AI is billed per minute of translation used, at the rate shown in your dashboard at the time of use, rather than a flat hourly rate. New accounts receive a complimentary trial allowance. Once billing is enabled, payments are processed securely through Stripe; usage beyond your trial allowance will be charged to your registered payment method. We may change our pricing with reasonable notice to account owners.

All billing settles in pounds sterling (GBP), regardless of which currency you choose to have account credit and costs displayed in on your dashboard or in emails. Figures shown in another currency are estimates only, converted at the prevailing exchange rate at the time they're shown, and may differ from the GBP amount actually charged or credited.

If you enable automatic top-up, you authorise us to automatically charge your saved payment method the amount you specify, without further confirmation from you each time, whenever your account credit falls below the applicable threshold. You can disable automatic top-up, or change the saved payment method, at any time from your billing settings.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Kall It AI for any unlawful purpose, to attempt to circumvent our security or account controls, to interfere with the service's operation, or to use it in a way that infringes the rights of others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.

8. Your data

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how it's used, including call audio and transcripts. It forms part of these Terms.

9. Intellectual property

The Kall It AI platform itself — its design, code, and branding — belongs to Kall It AI Ltd. The content of your calls (the audio, transcripts, and translations) remains yours. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to deliver the translation service to you.

10. Service availability

Kall It AI is provided on an "as available" basis. We aim for high reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service, and we are not liable for outages or issues caused by third-party services we rely on (including our AI translation and hosting providers).

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kall It AI Ltd's total liability to you arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

12. Termination

You may stop using Kall It AI and close your account at any time by contacting us. Any unused account credit can be refunded following the end of the current billing month, less an administration fee of £100 or 10% of the refunded amount, whichever is greater. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, non-payment, if required by law, or where we have unresolved compliance, verification, or sanctions-related concerns about your account. On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately; data handling on closure is described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we'll make reasonable efforts to notify account owners directly. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Questions about these Terms can be sent to legal@kallit.ai.
